Perseverance
"The one who stands firm to the end will be saved."
— Matthew 24:13
The road is long and sometimes I am tired. Tired of making efforts that seem in vain, of persevering when I see no results, of holding on when I want to give up.
Give me the strength to continue. Not through blind stubbornness, but through trust that every step counts, that nothing is lost, that time does its work even when I cannot see it.
Remind me that great things are built day by day, that consistency is worth more than brilliance, that faithfulness in small things prepares the way for great ones. Sustain me in my perseverance.
Amen.
Reflection
What are you tempted to give up right now? Before giving up, ask yourself: have I really tried everything? One last effort can sometimes change everything.
For those who are tempted to give up and need perseverance.
