First Sunday of Advent - The Waiting
"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come."

Lord who comes,
Today Advent begins. This blessed time of waiting and preparation. Waiting for Your coming at Christmas, but also waiting for Your coming into my life today.
Teach me to wait. Not passively, but actively. To prepare my heart, to make room, to watch with hope.
May this Advent be a time of conversion for me. Of returning to You, of inner preparation, of openness to Your presence. Come, Lord, do not delay.
