A New Beginning

Lord of all life,
On this first day of a new year, I stand before You with an open heart. The past year ends with its joys and sorrows, its successes and regrets. Today, I entrust to You this blank page that lies before me.
Give me the wisdom to learn from the past without being trapped by it. Grant me the courage to look to the future with hope, even though I don't know what it holds. Help me to live each coming day fully, without losing myself in tomorrow's worries.
May this year be for me a time of growth, of kindness toward myself and toward others. May I recognize Your blessings in the small things as well as the great.
