Detachment
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth."
— Matthew 6:19
Lord,
I attach myself so easily to things, to people, to situations. I want to keep, possess, control. And when I lose, when things change, I suffer from this attachment.
Teach me wise detachment. Not cold indifference, but that freedom of heart which knows how to appreciate without clinging, to love without possessing, to enjoy the goods of this world without becoming their slave.
May I hold things with a light hand, ready to let go of what must go, to welcome change without resisting it. May my heart find its anchor not in what passes, but in what remains: Your eternal love.
Amen.

Reflection
What are you too attached to? That possession, that relationship, that image of yourself? Detachment is not rejection; it is inner freedom.
For those who suffer from their attachments and struggle to let go.
