Authenticity
"All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No.'"
— Matthew 5:37
God of truth,
I sometimes play roles, adapt my personality according to contexts, say what others want to hear. This life of pretense exhausts me and cuts me off from who I truly am.
Give me the courage of authenticity. To be the same person in all contexts, to say what I truly think, to live according to my values even if it displeases others.
May I fully own who I am, with my opinions, my tastes, my choices, even if they are not popular. Authenticity is risky but so liberating. Help me dare to be fully myself.
Amen.

Reflection
In what area of your life do you wear a mask? Where could you be more authentic today?
For those who lose themselves in appearances and seek to recover their authenticity.
