Learning from Mistakes
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him."
— Romans 8:28
Father,
My mistakes weigh on me. I see them as shame, as proof of my inadequacy. Yet You invite me to see differently, to recognize that even mistakes can be teachers.
Help me learn from my mistakes. For what they taught me about myself, for the humility they gave me, for the new directions they opened for me.
May I see that some of my past mistakes prepared my greatest successes. That what seemed like an end was actually a new beginning. Thank You for the detours that led me to where I needed to be.
Amen.

Reflection
Look at a past mistake with hindsight. What did it ultimately teach you or bring you? This perspective can transform your relationship with imperfection.
For those who are overwhelmed by their mistakes and struggle to move forward.
