Growth
"Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord."
— 2 Peter 3:18
Lord of growth,
I don't want to stagnate, to remain stuck in who I am today. I want to grow, mature, evolve. But growth takes time and often passes through discomfort.
Accompany my growth. Help me accept the difficult phases, the questioning, the sometimes painful learning. Like the plant that must break through the seed to grow, I must sometimes break through my old ways of being.
May I grow in every dimension of my being: intellectually, emotionally, spiritually. May each day bring me one small step closer to who I am called to become.
Amen.
