Voluntary Simplicity

"Whoever loves money never has enough."

— Ecclesiastes 5:10

God of simplicity,

The world constantly pushes me to want more: more possessions, more success, more of everything. This race tires me and doesn't make me happier.

Teach me voluntary simplicity. To be content with less, to choose quality over quantity, to prioritize being over having. Help me free myself from the grip of objects, from the need to possess.

May I discover richness in stripping away, freedom in having little. May my life be simple but full, light but deep. Fewer things, more life.

Amen.

Reflection

What could you get rid of to simplify your life? An object, an obligation, an unnecessary complication?

For those crushed under the weight of their possessions and complications.
