Accepting Change
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past."
— Isaiah 43:18
Lord,
Change frightens me. I like my landmarks, my habits, my comfort zone. When life changes, I resist, I cling to the past, I refuse to move forward.
Help me accept change. Not to embrace it with forced enthusiasm, but simply to stop fighting the inevitable. Life is movement, constant transformation.
Give me the flexibility of the reed that bends in the wind rather than the rigidity of the oak that breaks. May I adapt, reinvent myself, discover new paths when the old one no longer exists.
Amen.

Reflection
What change in your life are you resisting? How could you let go and see what the change might bring you?
For all those going through changes who struggle to adapt.
