Small Victories
"Who dares despise the day of small things?"
— Zechariah 4:10
Lord,
I dream of great, spectacular victories. But my life is made mostly of small daily victories I barely notice: getting up despite fatigue, staying patient, doing what must be done.
Help me recognize and celebrate these small victories. They are important; they build my life day by day. Every small step counts; every small effort has its value.
May I not minimize my modest accomplishments. May I congratulate myself for the small things well done, the daily challenges met, the progress however slight.
Amen.
