Authenticity
"Each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully."
— Ephesians 4:25
God of truth,
It is tempting to wear a mask, to play a role, to show only my best face. But this inauthenticity tires me and creates distance with others.
Give me the courage of authenticity. To be who I really am, with my strengths and weaknesses, my successes and failures. To stop pretending to be what I am not.
May I create authentic relationships where everyone can be themselves. Authenticity is risky but so liberating.
