Strength in Gentleness
"Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."
— Matthew 5:5
Lord of gentleness,
The world values aggressive strength, brutal competition, violent assertion. But You show me that there is strength in gentleness, power in non-violence.
Teach me this gentle strength. The one that doesn't need to crush to assert itself, that can say no without aggression, that remains firm without being hard.
May I be gentle without being weak, tender without being soft. Gentleness is a quiet strength that transforms the world.
Amen.

Reflection
Where could you respond with gentleness rather than harshness today?
For a world where gentleness is valued as much as strength.
