Contemplation
"Mary has chosen what is better."
— Luke 10:42
God of silence,
I am so busy doing that I forget simply to be. Contemplation, this ability to look, to receive, to let be, has been lost in the busyness.
Teach me to contemplate. To stop to really look at the beauty around me, to truly listen to the sounds of life, to let grace penetrate me without trying to capture it.
May I choose Mary's part: to sit at Your feet, listen, receive, simply be present. Contemplation nourishes the soul.
Amen.
