Forgiveness

"Forgive one another."

— Colossians 3:13

God of mercy,

I still carry grudges, resentments, unhealed wounds. These burdens weigh on my heart and poison my peace.

Give me the grace of forgiveness. Not to minimize the wrong suffered, but to free myself from the poison of resentment. Forgiveness is first a gift I give myself.

May I forgive as You forgive me. See the wounded humanity behind the one who hurt me, understand without excusing, release without forgetting.

Amen.

Reflection

Is there someone you need to forgive? Forgiveness is a process; you can start today.

For all those who carry the burden of resentment.
