Memory

Lord,
Memory is precious. It connects me to my past, to my roots, to those who preceded me. Without memory, I would be cut off from my history.
Thank You for the gift of memory. For the memories that build me, for the lessons of the past that enlighten me, for this continuity that memory ensures.
May I cultivate a healthy memory. Neither forgetful nor obsessed with the past, but grateful for what has been while living fully in the present.
