Resilience in the Face of Injustice

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

— Romans 12:21

Just God,

I have sometimes been a victim of injustice. Situations where I was treated unfairly, where my rights were violated, where I suffered wrongs. These injustices can make me bitter.

Give me the strength not to let injustice define me. Not to become unjust myself through revenge. To keep my heart open despite the wound.

May I transform my pain into compassion for other victims of injustice, my experience into commitment to more justice. May the evil suffered not produce evil in me but a greater determination to do good.

Amen.

Reflection

How can you transform an injustice you experienced into strength to act for justice?

For all victims of injustice and for a more just world.
