The Gift of Rest
"Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."
— Mark 6:31
Lord of the Sabbath,
Rest is not a weakness but a necessity. My body and mind need breaks, moments when I do nothing, when I simply regenerate.
Thank You for rest. For sleep that restores, for moments of relaxation that refresh, for pauses that allow me to start again. Rest is a gift, not wasted time.
Help me not feel guilty when I rest. To understand that to be productive and creative, I need times of inactivity. May I honor my need for rest without shame.
Amen.

Reflection
Do you give yourself enough rest? How could you better honor your need for regeneration?
For all those who are exhausted and need to truly rest.
